As Executive Director of Westside Food Bank I'd like to express our deep gratitude for the 25,115 pounds of food collected on our behalf at Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. I'd also like to offer my congratulations to the congregation at Kehillat Israel for once again breaking its own record bringing in more food than any other local food collection. With tough economic times driving a record number of local families to seek food assistance, the food gathered by the folks at Kehillat Israel will help thousands of local people meet their nutritional needs.
